Small update fixes bug with drop call performance
In December last year we reported an influx of complaints regarding the Poor iPhone 12 call performance. User flooded Reddit with reports that their calls kept dropping. Regardless of whether they used 5G or LTE networks, they kept encountering signal problems.
Affected iPhone owners said they confronted their phone providers, but the companies insisted they weren’t the culprits for their drop signal issues. Instead, the carriers pointed their fingers at Apple. “[Verizon] said there is a big problem with iPhone 12 devices, not just with Verizon but with other wireless carriers as well, “a Redditor said.
on Apple’s tech support forum, there are 65 pages of heated discussion about the signal error.
Apple is now addressing this call performance issue with the iOS 15.1.1 update, which is only available for iPhone 12 and 13 users. To download it, find the Settings app, select General and tap Software Update.
Corresponding Forbes, the update is relatively small (385 MB on an iPhone 13 Pro Max) so it shouldn’t take too long to install.
