Since the pandemic began, Microsoft Healthcare Bot has been a leader in helping companies be more agile with patients. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC), Walgreens, Premera, and Providence are just a few of the many organizations using Microsoft Healthcare Bot to create bots to examine symptoms, laboratory-related, and COVID-related questions answer, find nearby clinics and more. Today we announce that the Microsoft Healthcare Bot service is moving to Azure to enable businesses to take advantage of Azure’s advanced tools, security and compliance offerings. Customers can migrate seamlessly from Microsoft Healthcare Bot to Azure Health Bot with a few simple steps and with no downtime. In addition, we continue to offer new features to Azure Health Bot, such as: B. New templates to check suitability for COVID-19 vaccines and answer related questions.
Azure Health Bot supports developers in health organizations to build and deliver AI-powered, compliant, conversational health experiences on a large scale. It combines built-in medical databases with natural language skills to understand clinical terminology and can be easily customized to support clinical and operational use cases. The service enables customers to comply with industry requirements including HIPAA.
As a native Azure service, Azure Health Bot benefits from Azure’s security investments and the most comprehensive compliance coverage of any cloud service provider. Now customers can use the standard Azure management tools they are familiar with and enjoy the 99.9 percent SLA commitment. Currently available in two regions (Eastern USA and Western Europe), availability will be expanded to eight regions in the coming months.
