The “AWS Partner Experience Transformation” blog series highlights updates to AWS Partner Programs, AWS Marketplace, and Partner Central. Managed services are crucial for partner profitability and customer success, with 52% of customers seeking managed services during partner acquisition.

The AWS Managed Service Provider (MSP) Program has been improved with new benefits for commercial and public sector partners starting July 1st. These benefits include technical enablement, workshops with AWS experts, discounts on tool costs, and more. Feedback from pilot partners has been instrumental in enhancing the MSP program, focusing on developing and marketing practices, aligning with AWS sellers, and creating listings on AWS Marketplace.

The goal is to accelerate interactions with AWS, driving profitable growth and delivering greater customer value. Benefits for growing managed services practices include self-service enablement assets, workshops for business planning, discounts on tools, and training, as well as specialized virtual sessions for technical capabilities and marketing support.

MSPs can take advantage of Marketing Development Funds (MDF) and AWS Rapid Ramp Credits (ARRC) to promote their services and engage with SMB customers. Influencing customer purchasing decisions, MSPs can increase visibility on AWS Marketplace and develop co-selling strategies with AWS. Validating solutions on AWS Marketplace can earn MSPs the AWS MSP Specialization badge, enhancing promotion to customers.

The new benefits and enhancements aim to support the development and growth of MSP practices, with ongoing optimization of program requirements to aid partners in achieving AWS MSP specialization. Partners can access the AWS MSP Program Guide in Partner Central for more information on the new benefits.

Overall, the updates to the AWS Partner Programs and MSP Program are designed to empower partners to thrive in the managed services space, enhance customer satisfaction, and drive growth in alignment with AWS strategies for the future.
