Intel led a recovery across chip stocks on Monday, as investors moved back into AI-related names after a broad selloff last week. The semiconductor sector’s bounce extended to Nvidia, AMD and Micron Technology.

Intel INTC shares climbed about 6% in the morning. Nvidia NVDA rose 2%, while Advanced Micro Devices AMD advanced 4%. Micron Technology MU gained 3%, and Sandisk (SNDK) jumped 5%. The iShares Semiconductor ETF (SOXX) was up 4%, pointing to gains across the industry rather than a move limited to one company.

The gains followed a sharp pullback in AI-linked chip shares last week, when investors reassessed the pace and durability of spending on data-center infrastructure. Monday’s premarket action suggested buyers were returning to semiconductor shares after the decline, though early indications can shift once regular trading begins.

Intel’s advance also came after JPMorgan raised its view on the company, citing improved execution. Investors will look for further signals from upcoming earnings and company outlooks to assess whether the rebound can hold. Traders will also watch this week’s major technology earnings for clues on AI spending.
