Intel is gearing up for the release of its next line of processors, Lunar Lake and Arrow Lake, which are anticipated to deliver superior performance compared to the previous generation. Initially, there were reports of a delay in the launch of these processors, causing disappointment among eager fans. However, Benchlife received an update from Intel clarifying the situation.
Lunar Lake refers to Intel’s upcoming mobile CPUs, set to power over 80 new laptop designs, while Arrow Lake pertains to the next Intel 15th Gen Desktop processors. Despite recent claims of delays in the release of the Intel Core Ultra 200 Lunar Lake CPUs, Benchlife’s update from Intel confirms that the processors have not been delayed and are scheduled for shipment in the third quarter, just in time for the holiday season.
According to Benchlife, Intel intends to launch the Lunar Lake processors in early September, with a window anticipated between September 14 and 24, just before the start of the Intel Innovation event on September 24. Additionally, Arrow Lake-S processors and compatible Z890 motherboards are expected to follow in October, providing a series of releases for PC hardware enthusiasts to look forward to.
While rumors of an October launch for Arrow Lake surfaced during Computex, non-K series processors and B860 and H810 motherboards might not make their debut until 2025, delaying the excitement for some consumers. Nonetheless, the upcoming months are set to be exciting for PC hardware fans, with the anticipated release of AMD Ryzen AI 300 and Ryzen 9000 CPUs, along with X870 and B850 motherboards from AMD expected in the third quarter of 2024.
Recent leaks also provided insights into Intel’s Arrow Lake and Panther Lake laptop processors, giving a sneak peek at the features of these upcoming processors. Overall, the PC hardware market is gearing up for a series of exciting launches and updates, with Intel and AMD both vying for consumer attention with their new offerings.
