The government needs to improve collaboration with industry if it is to implement the cybersecurity regulation on schedule Wednesday, tech experts told FedScoop.
The executive order comes after the recent hacks by Colonial Pipeline, Microsoft Exchange, and SolarWinds where the government was unable to contain cyberattacks by nation states or mere hackers with the right tools and know-how.
Terry Rydz, Dcode’s technical engagement manager, told FedScoop that the agencies’ known problems in identifying innovative tech companies that offer the cloud services they need to implement zero trust security are likely to slow compliance become.
