AWS Space Accelerator: India is a program designed to support startups focused on space technology in India. The 14-week program provides technical expertise, specialized AWS training, and mentorship from space and technical experts. This initiative is a result of a Memorandum of Understanding signed by AWS with ISRO and IN-SPACe in 2023 to support the growth of space startups in India. The selected startups will receive up to $100,000 in AWS credits and support to develop and scale their solutions.

The 24 shortlisted startups operate in various segments such as spacecraft propulsion, satellite imagery, geospatial applications, and more. They will learn to leverage space data and build scalable solutions using AWS technologies like generative AI and data analytics. Additionally, the accelerator will provide them with knowledge on go-to-market strategies, fundraising, and business fundamentals to succeed in the competitive space technology landscape.

The selected startups come from different parts of India, representing a wide range of areas including precision agriculture, geospatial analytics, and satellite launches. The program will culminate in a demo day where the startups will present their innovative solutions to industry leaders and potential investors. This event will offer them the opportunity to showcase their innovations and gain visibility in the space industry.

Overall, AWS Space Accelerator: India aims to foster the growth of space startups in India by providing them with the necessary support, training, and mentorship to succeed in the evolving space technology sector. With a focus on innovation, sustainability, and the application of AWS technology, the program seeks to empower these startups to make a significant impact in the space industry.
