Indian firms lead the world in AI optimism, with 93 percent expecting positive returns in 3 years | Australia-India News

New Delhi, November 24 (IANS) Around 93 percent of Indian companies expect positive returns on their investments in artificial intelligence (AI) within three years, the highest level of confidence among all countries surveyed, a report said on Monday.

The report by German multinational software company SAP, co-authored with Oxford Economics, found that Indian companies have already reported an average return on AI of 15 percent in 2025, which is expected to reach 31 percent within two years.

Indian companies are investing $31 million in AI this year – more than the global average of $26.7 million – focusing on software, infrastructure, talent and consulting.

Organizational investment in AI is expected to increase by an average of 33 percent over the next two years, which is expected to result in an ROI of 15 percent this year (average $5.7 million), which is expected to double to 31 percent ($15.3 million) in two years.
