More and more companies are using machine learning to increase efficiency, improve the customer experience and drive innovation. As the adoption of machine learning increases, customers may want to consider cost-benefit and value analysis across infrastructure, operations and processes – for their teams and organizations.
Azure Machine Learning is the enterprise class service to build and deploy models faster and accelerate the machine learning lifecycle. Thousands of customers, including many Fortune 100 customers, are already realizing the impact and benefits of Azure Machine Learning. To provide a detailed analysis of the potential return on investment (ROI) with Azure Machine Learning, Microsoft commissioned Forrester Consulting’s Total Economic Impact ™ (TEI) study to examine the cost savings and business benefits of Azure Machine Learning. read this full study here.
Azure Machine Learning provides advanced machine learning operations (MLOps) capabilities to operationalize the lifecycle. Forrester surveyed five customers who had used Azure Machine Learning and interviewed 199 decision makers in data science, machine learning, or AI. For the purposes of this study, Forrester has combined the results of these customers into a single composite organization.
Forrester found that after investing in Azure Machine Learning, customers saw many efficiency gains in completing machine learning projects, increased revenue, and lower operating costs. The benefits were calculated over a three-year period, and Forrester determined that the benefits scaled as the adoption of Azure Machine Learning grew in the organization.
Highlighted benefits using Azure Machine Learning:
- Three-year projected ROI of 189 to 335 percent.
- Improved data scientist productivity by up to 25 percent and data engineering productivity by up to 40 percent.
- Up to 40 percent less time onboarding new data scientists, resulting in lower costs.
- Increase operational efficiency by streamlining model development, training, validation, deployment and monitoring.
- Improved time-to-value of machine learning initiatives and model accuracy, resulting in more revenue and cost savings.
- Cost savings by taking legacy technology out of service.
