Upgrading Windows Server 2012 EC2 Instances, Part 2: In-Place Upgrade
After Brien has previously described the necessary planning in detail, Brien moves on to the next step: an in-place upgrade of the Windows Server operating system in relation to AWS EC2.
In my previous blog post In this series, I’ve talked about some of the important considerations you need to consider when planning an operating system upgrade on an EC2 instance running Windows Server 2012 or Windows Server 2012 R2. Now I’d like to change my focus a bit and show you how to upgrade the Windows Server operating system in-place, especially with regards to AWS EC2.
