IBM has opened the GenAI Innovation Center in Kochi to support enterprises, startups, and partners in exploring and building generative AI technology. This center will provide access to IBM experts and technologies to help organizations develop and implement enterprise-grade AI solutions. The focus will be on InstructLab, a new technology developed by IBM and Red Hat to enhance large language models with clients’ data, leveraging the IBM Watsonx platform and AI assistant technologies.
The GenAI Innovation Center, part of the IBM India Software Lab in Kochi, will be managed by IBM technical experts and offer resources such as case studies and access to the latest generative AI technology. The goal is to create a community focused on leveraging AI to address societal and business challenges like sustainability, healthcare, education, and more.
Dinesh Nirmal, Senior Vice President of Product at IBM Software, highlighted the importance of AI in IBM’s growth strategy and the commitment to collaborating with different AI ecosystems. The GenAI Innovation Center aims to support India’s AI community by promoting innovation through co-creation and collaboration to enhance AI talent, organizational productivity, and citizen services.
