A new IBM study suggests cybercriminals are increasingly using artificial intelligence (AI) to power deepfake attacks, malware and other threats that drive costly data breaches. The research found that AI-enabled breaches now account for one in four malicious incidents, with deepfake impersonation emerging as the most common attack technique and contributing to average breach costs of $6 million.
