IBM opens AI GovTech centre in Lucknow – The Times of India

Bengaluru: IBM has launched its AI GovTech Innovation Center in Lucknow to position AI as core infrastructure for modern governance with measurable public impact.As governments worldwide grapple with rising citizen expectations, growing regulatory complexity and exponential data growth, AI is becoming mission-critical to public sector performance. The centre will function as a collaborative platform to design, validate and scale trusted AI solutions that improve productivity, transparency and service delivery. IBM currently employs 200 people at its Lucknow campus and plans to scale the workforce to 2,000 with the launch of the new centre.The centre was inaugurated by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in the presence of IBM Chairman and CEO Arvind Krishna, IBM India & South Asia MD Sandip Patel, IIT Kanpur director Prof Manindra Agrawal, and other state and IBM officials.“AI will define the next era of government effectiveness and economic competitiveness.
