IBM Consulting Enhances Services to Assist Enterprises in Scaling AI

The latest annual report from the IBM Institute for Business Value reveals that Generative AI is becoming increasingly important in business, with 60% of CEOs stating that competitive advantage relies on advanced generative AI. However, more than half of the CEOs surveyed are facing challenges in filling key technology positions essential for driving innovation.

To address the growing demand for expertise and transformation partners, IBM Consulting is expanding its generative AI capabilities through an open-source approach. By providing access to their Granite models and collaborating with Red Hat, IBM Consulting is launching a practice to help clients develop their own AI and LLM models using open source methods. These models will be custom-built for each company, owned by the company, and can be run on any hybrid cloud environment.

IBM Consulting Advantages is at the core of this open approach, offering a platform for consultants to leverage various generative AI models and assets to deliver value consistently and efficiently to clients. The platform will soon incorporate InstructLab models and expand with new assistants and methods tailored for specific consulting roles and client engagements.

IBM Consulting is also strengthening partnerships with companies like Adobe, AWS, Celonis, Microsoft, NVIDIA, Palo Alto Networks, Salesforce, SAP, and ServiceNow to enhance generative AI capabilities. Additionally, IBM unveils IBM Concert, a new tool powered by WatsonX, to provide insights into business applications and fight IT complexity in hybrid cloud environments.

Skills are crucial to IBM Consulting’s generative AI push, with the consultancy developing use cases for customer service, human resources, application modernization, data transformation, and more. IBM Consulting continues to advance its expertise in AI and hybrid cloud through certifications and strategic acquisitions, while also committing to upskill two million students in AI by 2026.

In summary, IBM Consulting is at the forefront of leveraging generative AI to drive business transformation and competitive advantage for clients. Through open-source innovation, strategic partnerships, and a focus on skill development, IBM Consulting is poised to lead the automation platform of tomorrow while helping clients unlock the full potential of AI technologies.
