IBM and the Government of Gujarat recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish an AI Cluster within GIFT City. The Hon’ble Chief Minister of Gujarat was present for the signing ceremony. This partnership will utilize IBM’s advanced AI platform, watsonx, to promote innovation and drive digital transformation within the financial sector. The collaboration will offer financial institutions access to an AI Sandbox for developing and testing AI solutions, assistance with proof of concepts, and specialized AI literacy programs.
Shri Bhupendrabhai Patel, the Chief Minister of Gujarat, expressed his belief that this MoU with IBM will position Gujarat as a leader in embracing AI and driving digital transformation. This partnership will benefit financial institutions within GIFT City by providing them with a range of AI resources, including AI sandboxes, proof-of-concept support, AI literacy programs, and digital assistant solutions. The AI sandbox will serve as a space for customizing AI models to meet the specific needs of the financial industry. The provided conceptual assistance will aid financial institutions in testing AI-based solutions designed for their specific requirements. Additionally, the literacy programs will equip professionals with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in an AI-driven financial environment. The assistance solutions offered will focus on developing and deploying AI-powered digital assistants to streamline operations and enhance customer experiences.
