IBM and HCLTech have teamed up to create a Generative AI Center of Excellence in the US, UK, and India. The center will utilize IBM’s WatsonX platform and be accessible through HCL’s cloud-native and AI labs in various locations. The goal of these hubs is to assist companies in progressing towards Genius AI, enabling them to experiment with different applications, simplify coding, and enhance skill development.
Both companies have committed to training 10,000 engineers and architects on IBM’s AI technologies through the WatsonX platform. This initiative aims to enhance skills and provide a foundation for building use cases. Clients of IBM and HCLTech will have access to a range of educational resources related to various IBM Watson-based technologies, such as watsonx.ai, watsonx.data, watsonx.governance, watsonx Code Assistants, watsonx Orchestrate, and watsonx Assistant.
Stephen Smith, IBM’s general manager of ecosystem services partners, highlighted the importance of promoting responsible generative AI solutions through collaborations with partners like HCLTech. The Center of Excellence intends to empower customers to explore and design AI solutions tailored to their business needs using WatsonX.
Alan Flower, HCLTech’s executive vice president of AI & Cloud Native Labs, shared that they plan to integrate WatsonX into their Gen AI solution suite, HCLTech AI Force, to support code modernization. This partnership with IBM aims to accelerate the exploration of AI’s potential to develop unique HCLTech offerings utilizing the latest IBM technology.
Salesforce recently launched its first AI center in London to foster innovation and enhance the skills of customers and partners. This move demonstrates the growing trend of technology companies investing in AI capabilities to drive digital transformation and stay ahead in the competitive digital landscape.
