SHARED BASE SAN ANTONIO-LACKLAND, Texas – Inter-American Air Forces Academy instructors traveled to Colombia from August 27 to September 22 to teach Colombian Air Force students.

Five instructors from the 837th Training Squadron were on a mobile training team teaching approximately 40 Colombian Air Force officers and students in cyber networking, cybersecurity, and intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance courses at the Escuela de Inteligencia Aérea TJ Edgar E. Contreras B. , in Bogotá.

The courses combined both officers and enlisted members of the Colombian Air Force.

In-country engagements like this offer IAAFA cadres and employees an additional perspective that goes beyond the primary mission of the academy.

“Being in a country gives you the opportunity to see how that country is completing its missions and enables the team to assess whether what it teaches is relevant and timely for our partner nations,” said Capt.
