London | Anna Bond, legal director in the work team at British law firm Lewis Silkin, used to receive complaints that were typically the length of an email. Now the complaints she sees run about 30 pages and cover a wide range of historical themes, many of which are repetitive.
“I suspect AI is behind it,” says Bond. The worst problem is the length of complaints about working conditions, colleagues and superiors. However, some of the complaints also relate to irrelevant laws – such as Canadian legislation – or fabricated precedents.
