LUXEMBOURG–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has become the latest company to obtain a license to patents offered through the recently launched Sisvel multimode Wi-Fi pool. It joins Sony Group Corporation, Huawei, Panasonic, Philips and ZTE as licensees of the program. These last four are also licensors, along with KPN, Mitsubishi Electric, Orange, Aegis 11 SA (a subsidiary of Sisvel), SK Telecom and Wilus.
HPE has a significant presence in the global WLAN market and is a leading manufacturer of routers for both consumers and businesses. The agreement with Sisvel was reached amicably.
The Sisvel Wi-Fi multimode pool is the successor program to the Sisvel Wi-Fi 6 patent pool. Over a three-year period, agreements were closed with nearly 40 companies, including Acer, Netgear, Cisco and HP.
The multi-mode program, which covers both Wi-Fi 7 and 6, offers an efficient way to access essential Wi-Fi rights for years to come.
