Until 2025, HPE’s finance team lived by a Monday ritual: a 90-minute operational review fueled by a 100-page PowerPoint and hundreds of hours of manual preparation. That weekly effort kept the company moving, but left little time to focus on what was most important: making faster, smarter decisions. Chief Financial Officer Marie Myers decided to change that.
Partner with DeloitteHPE’s finance team created “Alfred”, an AI-powered platform running on HPE’s private cloud AI infrastructure. Nicknamed after Batman’s trusted butler, HPE estimates that Alfred has eliminated about 90% of the manual effort previously spent preparing the weekly review. It has reduced HPE’s financial reporting cycle time by approximately 40% and processing costs by at least 25%.
