HPE Launches Advanced Virtualization Technology for Improved Hybrid Cloud Management

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has introduced a new virtualization capability for its HPE Private Cloud, integrating open source KVM with cluster orchestration software to enhance enterprise workload performance and reliability. This advancement positions HPE as the first vendor to offer a comprehensive set of enterprise-grade hybrid cloud capabilities.
The innovative technology addresses the need for a unified cloud operating model that provides flexibility, control, and freedom from vendor lock-in. By streamlining operations and reducing costs through virtualization clusters managed via a cloud-based control plane, HPE’s solution ensures high availability even when disconnected from the cloud. It leverages leading compute, networking, and storage capabilities to offer automated operations, simplified VM provisioning, data protection, and lifecycle management.
Customers will benefit from the integration of HPE Alletra Storage MP for data-intensive workloads with efficient data reduction and public cloud data replication capabilities. HPE Private Cloud supports various workloads, from virtualized applications to AI applications, and integrates seamlessly with HPE hybrid cloud services such as data protection and AI-powered IT operations management.
HPE positions itself as a market leader by offering a complete set of hybrid cloud capabilities, including private cloud infrastructure, network virtualization, data mobility, and runtimes. The company promises significant TCO savings through its strategic “hybrid by design” approach of optimizing virtualization, accelerating AI adoption, and simplifying operational management through the HPE GreenLake cloud platform.
The new virtualization capability introduced at HPE Discover 2024 will be available as part of the HPE Private Cloud Business Edition in the second half of 2024. This advancement showcases HPE’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of hybrid cloud solutions and establishing new industry standards.
