My conversations with clients have taken a noticeable turn over the past year. IT leaders and business executives tell me they are desperate to get a holistic view of their digital environment (processes, data, applications and infrastructure) as an interconnected system rather than isolated silos. However, they now admit that AI is becoming more complex as it is deployed across enterprise infrastructure, creating a greater need to overcome silos and enable their operations to successfully adopt and implement AI.
What I hear from customers also matches our research findings. Looking at recent HPE results One Year Later: Architecting AI Advantages Reportshowed that while 72% of respondents agreed that they had recognized the need to be more holistic in their approach to AI, there were few signs of this being put into practice.
