How to pre-order the new 13-inch MacBook Pro

Perhaps one of the more unexpected announcements from Apple’s WWDC event last week was the unveiling of a new 13-inch MacBook Pro that will feature it Apple’s new M2 processor. While Apple initially hinted that the new MacBook would be available in July, we now know that you can pre-order the new laptop from this Friday 17th June starting at 5am PST, 8am EST, with shipments and in-store availability beginning June 24th.

Currently you can only Pre-order configurations of the new 13-inch MacBook from the Apple Storefront or through a small handful of authorized resellers, which we’ll list on this page as more retailers make pre-orders available.


13-inch MacBook Pro with M2 (2022)

The base model of Apple’s latest iteration of the MacBook Pro has a 13-inch display and Apple’s M2 CPU, along with 8GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD.

The new 13-inch MacBook Pro will be available in a variety of silver or space gray configurations. Although the models share many of the same specs, they can all be configured with up to 24GB RAM and 2 TB SSD storage. The cheapest model starts at $1,299.99 and comes with 8GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD, but It is also possible to spend up to $2,499.99 for a model that pulls out all the stops. We didn’t get a chance to try any of these new models of MacBook Pro, but the new M2 CPU is sure to put it a step ahead Apple’s previous 13-inch model, even if the hardware is otherwise largely the same. It even retains the splitting Touch Bar and includes active cooling to keep the M2 processor running at peak performance even on heavier projects.
