Honda and Mythic announce joint development of a 100x energy efficient analog AI chip for next-generation vehicles

Mythic’s analog compute-in-memory architecture is designed to deliver 100x energy efficiency and target AI performance of over 100,000 TOPS for safer, smarter vehicles as part of Honda’s Carbon Neutral and Zero Traffic Fatalities environmental and safety vision.

PALO ALTO, CA, February 6, 2026–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Honda Motor Co., Ltd. and Mythic announce a joint development agreement under which Honda R&D Co. Ltd., Honda’s R&D subsidiary, will license Mythic’s Analog Processing Unit (APU) technology and the companies will jointly develop an automotive-grade AI SOC to be deployed in Honda’s next-generation software-defined vehicles (SDVs) by the late 2020s/early 2030s.
