Hollow Knight: Silksong is getting a new gameplay trailer but no release date yet


Team Cherry is long awaited Hollow Knight Consequence, Hollow Knight: Silk Song, finally came out of hiding at Microsoft’s Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase on Sunday. The developer showed extended gameplay of silk song and confirmed that the first day of Game Pass is coming. But the studio still hasn’t announced a release date for the highly-anticipated and much-delayed 2D platformer action game.

However, Xbox Corporate Vice President Sarah Bond later said that the games shown during the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase will be released within the next 12 months.

Hollow Knight: Silk Song is a sequel from 2017 Hollow Knight, the beloved Dark Souls inspired Metroidvania full of bug people. but silk song follows a new protagonist, Hornet, who was both friend and foe of the knight in the original game. in the Hollow Knight: Silk Songplayers can control them, navigate through a whole new world and use new powers.

Corresponding Team Cherry’s original announcementthe developer intended silk song be add-on content for the original Hollow Knight but the project got much bigger. “Almost from the start, Hornet’s adventure was supposed to take place in a new land, but as we dived in, it quickly became too big and too unique to remain a DLC as originally planned,” the developer said.

The original Hollow Knight was released in 2017 for Windows PC. Team Cherry later brought the game to Linux, Mac, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

Hollow Knight was originally financed by crowdfunding kickstarters. Players who supported the game’s fundraiser will automatically receive Hollow Knight: Silk Song for free.
