Hexagate and eOracle introduce Gate Protocol Security Oracle

Hexagate has launched The Gate Security Oracle, a decentralized machine learning security protocol based on AVS. This innovation addresses the need for trust and security in the world of DeFi. Many projects have had to compromise decentralization for functionality and security, relying on external data which weakens security and trust. EigenLayer’s AVS solution, using staked ETH through the re-staking protocol, helps projects navigate the centralization vs. security trade-offs. eOracle, an AVS protocol, has over $5 billion in staked ETH and is supported by thousands of stakers and validators worldwide, making it a robust crypto oracle solution. The Gate Security Oracle, built on the eOracle stack, uses the OVS model to integrate ML models and create a “DeFi firewall” to protect on-chain protocols. OVS introduces modularity to blockchains, offering fast connectivity and computational bandwidth for infrastructure applications. Matan Si, founder of eOracle, aimed to align with Oracle EIP proposals by Justin Drake and Vitalik Buterin, but realized Ethereum’s architecture was not practical for many use cases. The eOracle platform was designed to support heavy calculations and fast connectivity, using Ethereum Validators and staked ETH for shared security and paving the way for future modular innovation outside of blockchains.
