A program for an on-demand personal private security force has reportedly been in the works for months as Citizen is testing “quick response times and immediate communication between Citizen and security partners,” according to a story that Vice first reported on Friday. A black SUV with Citizen logos was also seen in Los Angeles, according to a tweet on Wednesday.
A Citizen spokesperson told US TODAY that the company was conducting a “pilot” with LAPS, or Los Angeles Private Security, an LA-based security company.
