For pure adrenaline action, freeriding on pristine slopes with fresh powder snow is hard to beat.

While ski and snowboard freeriders pay for the privilege of their own off-piste experience, the opposite is true for sports streaming pirates who watch for free or at massively discounted prices and use a virtual private network (VPN) and proxies to circumvent territorial restrictions.

There really is no such thing as a free ride in sports streaming piracy. It’s the streaming services, sports leagues, and legitimate subscribers that end up paying the huge bill.

The peak of geopiracy?

This problem is only going to build up over the next few years unless streaming providers use a powerful mix of anti-piracy and content security technologies to stop the freeriders.
