LAS VEGAS (KTNV) – Henderson-based conservative social media app Parler is struggling to get back online after Amazon Web Services removed it from its platform on Sunday night.

Parler filed a lawsuit against Amazon in a US district court in Washington, requesting an injunction and alleging an antitrust and contract violation.

This after the app had come under fire since last week’s riot in the Capitol for being a kind of digital meeting place for right-wing extremists.

Amazon Web Services sent Parler a letter on Saturday saying “there is a steady increase in violent content on your website,” all of which are against our terms. It is clear that Parler does not have an effective process for complying with the AWS Terms of Use. “
