HCL Technology and IBM have teamed up to launch the Generative AI Center of Excellence (GenAI CoE) in a strategic move to provide customized AI solutions to customers. The center will be built on IBM’s Watsonx data and AI platform and will be accessible through HCLTech’s cloud-native and AI labs in various locations.

The collaboration aims to train 10,000 engineers and architects at HCLTech on IBM’s AI technologies, particularly Watsonx. The GenAI CoE will offer clients access to training and resources on a range of AI technologies to help modernize applications, simplify coding, develop skills on the Watsonx platform, and drive continuous innovation.

Alan Flower, Executive Vice President and Global Head of AI and Cloud Native Labs at HCLTech, expressed excitement about the expanded partnership with IBM, stating that it will allow for rapid exploration of AI potential and the development of unique offerings using IBM technology.
