This CoE will be accessible through HCLTech’s cloud native and AI labs in various locations worldwide, assisting enterprises in modernizing legacy applications, developing IT service management use cases, reducing coding complexity, and improving skills development on the IBM Watsonx platform.
Alan Flower, Executive Vice President and Global Head of AI & Cloud Native Labs at HCLTech, expressed excitement about the collaboration, stating that it will allow for the exploration of AI potential and the development of unique offerings using IBM technology. The plan includes integrating Watsonx into HCLTech AI Force to support code modernization and accelerate AI adoption through Watsonx-enabled AI solutions like Watsonx Orchestrate.
The partnership also aims to train 10,000 engineers and architects on IBM’s AI technologies, focusing on WatsonX. Through the CloudSMART for IBM portfolio, companies can leverage advanced technologies for innovation, utilizing insights from both business and technology. The CoE will provide access to education and training resources covering various AI technologies offered by Watsonx, such as watsonx.ai, watsonx.data, and Watsonx.governance, as well as tools like Code Assistants and Orchestrate.
Stephen Smith, general manager of IBM Ecosystem Services Partners, emphasized the importance of promoting responsible generative AI solutions through collaborations with service partners like HCLTech. The Center of Excellence will enable joint customers to explore, experiment, and design generative AI solutions tailored to address their specific business challenges.
