HCLTech and IBM have joined forces to create a Generative AI Center of Excellence (GenAI CoE) to help businesses modernize legacy applications and drive innovation. The center will be located in the US, UK, and India, utilizing IBM’s WatsonX platform and HCLTech’s cloud-native and AI labs. The partnership aims to develop IT service management use cases, reduce coding complexity, and enhance skills development on the IBM Watson platform.
Alan Flower, Executive Vice President and Global Head of AI and Cloud Native Labs at HCLTech, stated that the collaboration will allow for quick exploration of AI’s potential and the integration of WatsonX into HCLTech’s AI Force. The goal is to support code modernization and accelerate GenAI adoption for customers through WatsonX-enabled AI solutions.
IBM and HCLTech plan to train 10,000 engineers and architects on AI technologies, particularly WatsonX, to drive innovation and provide business productivity solutions. The companies aim to empower customers to experiment and design generative AI solutions tailored to their specific business challenges through the CoE.
The GenAI CoE will offer education and training resources on various AI technologies, including Watsonx.ai, WatsonX.data, and WatsonX Code Assistants. This will help customers train their resources and build use cases using the platform.
In a similar move, Salesforce recently opened its first artificial intelligence center in London to stimulate innovation and empower customers and partners. This demonstrates the growing trend of companies leveraging technology to enhance business efficiency and drive continuous innovation in today’s competitive landscape.
