HCL Technology and IBM have announced a new collaboration to establish a Generative AI Center of Excellence based on IBM’s watsonx platform. This initiative aims to help global enterprises build custom AI applications, scale data capabilities, and accelerate responsible AI workflows. The CoE will be accessible through HCLTech’s cloud native and AI labs in London and Austin, Texas, and will offer services to modernize legacy applications, develop IT service management use cases, reduce coding complexity, and enhance skills development on the Watsonx platform.
In partnership with IBM, HCLTech plans to train 10,000 engineers and architects on IBM’s AI technologies, particularly Watsonx. This training will focus on continuous innovation through advanced technologies to enhance business productivity. The CoE will provide customers with access to education and training resources covering various AI technologies such as watsonx.ai, watsonx.data, watsonx.governance, watsonx Code Assistants, watsonx Orchestrate, and watsonx Assistant.
The collaboration between HCLTech and IBM seeks to drive the adoption of responsible generative AI solutions and empower joint customers to explore, experiment, and design AI solutions tailored to address their business challenges. Through this partnership, HCLTech aims to integrate Watsonx into its AI offerings and support code modernization efforts. This will enable customers to accelerate generative AI adoption and enhance digital skills for increased business productivity by deploying Watsonx Orchestrate.
