AMAZON Web Services were down on Tuesday due to thousands of frustrated users reported a failure.
Users started reporting issues Tuesday morning and the platform was still unavailable to many by the afternoon.
At 4:35 p.m., the company announced that the problems with the network devices had been resolved and that work was now being done to restore any compromised services.
According to NY Daily News, the problem affected the company’s US East 1 servers, a hub for Amazon’s cloud computing platform.
At around 2:43 pm, Amazon announced that “the underlying problem causing network problems has been fixed and is working towards a full recovery across all services.”
However, before the outage was controlled, many warehouses had to be closed.
People were struggling to sign in to access Amazon’s own websites, the Amazon app, or their AWS console.
