Human error is seen by IT leaders as the number one business vulnerability in the coming year.
New hybrid and remote work environments are a concern for those working in the IT industry, and Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs) are no exception. As part of Proofpoint’s 2022 Voice of the CISO report, it was revealed that 50% of the 1,400 CISOs surveyed believe their organization is not prepared for a cyberattack and 48% believe their organization is at risk of an internal cyberattack Next year.
“As high-profile attacks disrupted supply chains, grabbed headlines and led to new cybersecurity laws, 2021 proved to be another challenging time for CISOs around the world,” said Lucia Milică, vice president and global CISO at Proofpoint. “But as CISOs adapt to new ways of working, it’s heartening to see that they now appear more confident about their security posture.”
