Amazon’s health strategy in DC
As Amazon The tech giant is hiring to influence health policy, reports STAT Washington correspondent Rachel Cohrs. Already a lobbying powerhouse, the company announced earlier this year that it has 11 lobbyists working on health issues. And it has more posts open to advocates focusing on federal health policies, health devices and services, and state-level health policies. At the head of the indictment is Claire Winiarek, who recently joined Amazon as director of health policy after serving as chief political officer for the Association for pharmaceutical care management.
