The Gujarat government recently signed MoUs with IBM, Microsoft, and NASSCOM to promote the use of Artificial Intelligence technologies in the state. These agreements aim to establish AI clusters, centers of excellence, and enhance AI capabilities in Gujarat. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel expressed the importance of embracing futuristic technologies like AI to keep Gujarat at the forefront of industrial development. In collaboration with IBM, GIFT City will focus on developing AI software for fintech companies in the financial sector. IBM will also assist in developing AI curricula for schools and universities in the state. The Industry Ready Talent Training Programme has been launched to meet the demand for skilled manpower in emerging industries. Various technology companies have committed to offering courses to train youth in deep technology. Four state universities have joined as aggregators to train 25,000 students in advanced technology courses over three years. This initiative aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision to propel India as a global leader in technology and innovation.
