The Gujarat government signed agreements with IBM, Microsoft, and NASSCOM to promote Artificial Intelligence technologies in the state. The agreements include establishing an AI Cluster and Center of Excellence in GIFT City, focusing on key technologies like machine learning. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel emphasized the importance of futuristic technology for economic growth. IBM India-South Asia’s Managing Director, Sandip Patel, stated that AI is crucial for India’s development. The government also launched an Industry Ready Talent Training Programme to train students in deep technology. Several universities and technology companies have committed to offering courses under this initiative, aiming to train 25,000 students in AI over three years.
