The Department of Science and Technology in Gujarat has partnered with IBM to establish an artificial intelligence cluster in GIFT city. The collaboration aims to use IBM’s Watsonx platform to drive innovation in financial institutions. This partnership will provide financial institutions in Gujarat access to AI Sandbox and assistance with proof of concepts, AI literacy programs and digital assistant solutions.
Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel expressed that this MoU with IBM will help Gujarat lead the country in adopting AI and driving digital transformation. IBM will provide software technologies and platforms in a cloud environment for financial institutions to customize AI models. The goal is to build digital assistant-based solutions for financial institutions to enhance their operations.
IBM’s General Manager for India and South Asia, Sandip Patel, emphasized that using AI for business is crucial for gaining a competitive advantage in today’s world. Through the AI cluster, IBM aims to make advanced AI solutions accessible to financial institutions in GIFT city.
