Gujarat government collaborates with IBM and Microsoft to enhance AI presence in the State

The Gujarat government recently signed agreements with IBM, Microsoft, and NASSCOM to promote the use of Artificial Intelligence technologies in the state. These agreements aim to establish an AI Cluster and an Artificial Intelligence Center of Excellence at GIFT City, focusing on key technologies such as machine learning and cognitive services. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel highlighted the importance of futuristic technologies like AI in positioning Gujarat as a global industrial hub. IBM India-South Asia expressed the critical role of AI in driving India’s development, with plans to collaborate on AI curriculum development for public schools and universities. The Industry Ready Talent Training Program aims to train 25,000 students in deep technology courses over three years with the help of universities and companies like IBM, NVIDIA, AWS, TCS, and L&T Edutech. The state government is committed to enhancing artificial intelligence capabilities and leveraging advanced technologies to meet the growing demand for skilled manpower in emerging industries.
