A joint initiative has been formed between the Technical College System of Georgia, the Georgia Department of Education, the Technology Association of Georgia, and Amazon Web Services to provide cloud computing training and education to 5,500 students across the country by 2024, said Governor Brian Kemp announced on Wednesday.
As part of the initiative, Georgia high schools and technical colleges will offer cloud computing courses and degrees focused on the skills required to pursue in-demand technical careers.
“The technology industry in Georgia is growing rapidly and offers exciting job opportunities for Georgians,” said Kemp. “This collaboration with AWS will ensure our citizens have access to innovative education and training to prepare them for tech jobs in Georgia.”
