Google is continuing to try and get customers to check out its growing lineup of Pixel devices, and now, a new plan in India is hoping to spur some further momentum.
Google is rolling out a Pixel Upgrade Program in India, which the company describes as “a one-of-a-kind ownership plan designed with convenience and ease-of-mind at its heart.” That doesn’t mean it’s as straightforward as other upgrade paths we’ve seen previously, though. Indian customers who want to join this program need to select one of Google’s four Pixel 10 devices to begin. The device is then financed through a 24-month no-cost EMI plan, starting at ₹3,333/month (~$37).

So far, that’s fairly straightforward. However, upgrading can be a bit confusing. Between your 9th and 15th payment, you’ll have the opportunity to upgrade your Pixel to a new phone, giving you between three months before and three months after the one-year anniversary date of your current device….
