Google’s new Dreambeans AI app is… different.

Gozde Oznur, the product manager behind the new app, told me that the idea is to use Dreambeans as a place to experiment with AI, combining all the data Google has about you into proactive, helpful “stories.” I’ve had the app for a few days and outside of a much of shopping recommendations, some of them are cool! It told me to prepare my devices for WWDC and included some helpful information for a train ride. But I can’t get used to these AI-generated images of myself. I just can’t do it.
