Google’s Gemini AI is now accessible on a wider range of Android devices in Messages

Gemini in Google Messages is now accessible on any Android phone with at least 6GB of RAM, the latest version of the app, a Google account, and RCS messaging enabled. This feature is now available in over 165 countries, including India, supporting English and French (in Canada). Google has also launched the standalone Gemini and Gemini Advanced app in India, offering support for English and nine Indian languages.

Initially limited to Google Pixel and Samsung Galaxy devices, Gemini in Messages can now be used on a wider range of eligible Android phones. Users can start a chat with Gemini by tapping the “Start Chat” button in the Messages app. The feature allows users to compose messages, ask questions, and engage in various topics through Google’s conversational AI.

Google is committed to expanding language support and global availability of Gemini in the future. Alongside its expansion in India, the standalone Gemini app and Gemini Advanced have been launched in other countries such as Turkey, Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka.
