Google’s Workspace pricing lists Business Starter at $7 per user per month with an annual commitment, 30 GB of pooled storage per user and Gemini assistance in Gmail. Microsoft’s business-plan listing puts Business Basic at the same $7 per user per month, paid yearly, with 1 TB of OneDrive storage per user and web and mobile Office apps. For a team that drafts together in the browser, Workspace is the more natural fit. For a team that needs more individual file storage, Business Basic has the stronger entry allowance.
Neither entry price buys the full version of every advantage associated with its brand. An Excel-heavy team needs to price Microsoft’s installed applications separately from Business Basic. A team buying either suite for AI must distinguish the assistance included in its base plan from features that work across company files, messages and meetings.
