Google unveils new search bar and smart glasses to advance AI wars

The race to develop AI products that are truly useful to people is moving extremely quickly. And although Google was once seen as the slow-moving market leader, having to drag its old advertising and search businesses into the new era, the company has recently emerged as having what appears to be a decisive lead.

The company has leveraged its Android business, its close relationship with Apple, its huge user base, and its access to sensitive personal data through existing apps and services to integrate its Gemini AI into all aspects of digital life. Last quarter, the company showed that its advertising revenue actually increased due to AI. And at the Google I/O developer conference on Wednesday morning it was said that the number of Gemini users had doubled to around 900 million within a year. Here are some of the suggested opportunities for further expansion.
