Grid technology firm CTC Global has launched GridVista, an observability platform that will arm utilities with real-time, high-resolution data to help optimize grid capacity, prevent outages, and lower operating costs.

Along with the GridVista launch, CTC said it had deepened its partnerships with Google Cloud and Tapestry, an Alphabet “moonshot” project to provide the first unified model of the grid. The companies will pair GridVista’s capabilities with Google Cloud and Tapestry’s AI-powered tools to transform line data into actionable intelligence.

“Real-time visibility into transmission lines is a game-changer for utilities seeking to improve performance, lower operating risk, and reduce costs,” J.D. Sitton, CEO of CTC Global, said in a statement. “This new technology addresses critical utility pain points.”
