Google Pixel Watch battery size is leaking

The Pixel Watch Leaks campaign is now in full swing ahead of its likely announcement at next month’s Google I/O. We already have prototype seen “accidentally” “forgot” in a restaurant, in a box, but without a charger. This has very conveniently managed to show the world the upcoming hardware without also showing any part of their software.

Then the watch was certified by the Bluetooth SIG in three versions, and today a new rumor gives us the next info: the battery capacity. It will be 300mAh. is that big is this small

Let’s put it in context. The Pixel Watch that was leaked at this restaurant is a 40mm device, as are those Galaxy Watch4 which has a smaller 247 mAh battery. On the other hand, it’s unclear how many sizes the Pixel Watch will be available in – after all, if there are two sizes like many other smartwatches (including the aforementioned Samsung), who’s to say which the leaked capacity applies to?

Anyhow, it definitely looks like the Pixel Watch won’t have the smallest cell. Which makes sense considering it’s a fairly chunky ape, at around 14mm thick.

The only other detail this leak brings us is that the Pixel Watch will have cellular connectivity. We expect this to be just one of the three different models, and it’ll be the most expensive of the range. Hopefully it’s not the one with the 300 mAh battery, because this combination doesn’t let us expect great endurance.
