Crews continued site preparation work at the data center project Thursday. Google acknowledged it was behind the project Monday morning.

AMERICAN TOWNSHIP — Google is the company building a data center north of Lima, the Allen Economic Development Group revealed Monday morning.
“We’re officially welcoming a global tech leader into the heart of the Allen County community,” AEDG President Cynthia Leis said in a press release.
Project BOSC, as its been known, includes $500 million in capital investment, including $50 million for local infrastructure near the intersection of Cole Street and Bluelick Road. The project stretches over more than 200 acres in American and Sugar Creek townships. It’s expected to create 50 full-time jobs.
