Google just announced a few new ways it plans to detect scams using artificial intelligence for Chrome, Google Search and Android users.
Google is using Gemini Nano, its on-device large language model, to provide insight on risky websites so the tech giant is aware of more scams and can offer better protection against them. Google is already using Gemini Nano to protect users against remote tech support scams, and hopes to extend the support to Android in the future.
